Sunday School

The Sunday School at St Thomas’s welcomes children of all ages, from school age to year 5/6 – older children are welcome to stay on as helpers and role models! We also invite younger children (3-4yrs) to participate in craft activities or music and drama wherever possible. Parents are invited to accompany their children initially, but are then welcome to join in our main service once the children have settled in. We begin each session at 10.45am and end at 12.30pm, joining the main congregation during our time together for a blessing.

We try and follow the Church Calendar as far as possible including of Old and New Testament Lessons. Our sessions include prayer, Bible reading, craft activities, singing and games.

Each month we join the All Age service (on the second Sunday of the month at 11am) and somethings give an informal presentation of artwork, song, drama or prayer.

We break for the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays. We perform a simple nativity at Christmas with special focus on the real meaning of Christmas.

We have a child protection policy whereby all our helpers are made fully aware. All helpers are DBS checked.

All are welcome to come and join in – for more information contact:

Please note that there is no Sunday Club on the fourth Sunday of the month, or fifth Sundays when they occur.
